Revenances

L’œuvre plonge le spectateur dans un environnement minimaliste, où les limites traditionnelles entre les surfaces disparaissent. Les murs, le sol et le plafond s’effacent, laissant place à un espace où seuls des contours géométriques sont perceptibles. Une chaise solitaire trône à un endroit, un lit se tient à distance. Des fenêtres encadrent l’espace, offrant des perspectives sur d’autres fenêtres, matérialisant ainsi une infinité de réalités superposées.

La traversée de ces distances semble être un parcours initiatique pour le visiteur, qui entre en contact avec les objets de manière inhabituelle. Par moments, il semble être emporté involontairement à travers eux, comme s’il était possédé par une force mystérieuse. Une cigarette fume dans l’air, s’enroulant autour de son corps, tandis qu’une main féminine effleure sa peau depuis le lit. Les fenêtres offrent des vues sur un paysage changeant, où les nuages et la neige d’une télévision se fondent avec la réalité.

Deux lumières projetées ancrent le visiteur dans cet espace en mutation, le guidant à travers une expérience sensorielle et spatiale singulière, où les frontières entre l’objet et le sujet, entre le tangible et l’illusion, semblent s’estomper. Chaque déplacement d’un espace à un autre élargit les perspectives du spectateur, l’invitant à explorer les limites de la perception et de la réalité.

The work plunges the viewer into a minimalist environment, where traditional boundaries between surfaces disappear. Walls, floors and ceilings fade away, giving way to a space where only geometric contours are perceptible. A solitary chair sits in one spot, a bed at a distance. Windows frame the space, offering perspectives on other windows, materializing an infinity of superimposed realities.

Crossing these distances seems like a journey of initiation for the visitor, who comes into contact with the objects in an unusual way. At times, he seems to be carried involuntarily through them, as if possessed by a mysterious force. A cigarette smokes in the air, curling around his body, while a feminine hand grazes his skin from the bed. The windows offer views of a changing landscape, where the clouds and snow of a television fade into reality.

Two projected lights anchor visitors in this changing space, guiding them through a singular sensory and spatial experience, where the boundaries between object and subject, tangible and illusion, seem to blur. Each shift from one space to another broadens the viewer’s perspective, inviting him or her to explore the limits of perception and reality.
