Cette œuvre hybride associe une impression physique de grand format et un NFT (jeton non fongible) unique. L’image principale présente une surface minérale générée par intelligence artificielle, où l’algorithme a “halluciné” des détails émergents – cités, espèces vivantes, végétation et techniques inconnues – à partir de formations rocheuses.

Au centre de la composition se trouve une zone manquante, signalée par une teinte violette. Cette absence correspond précisément à l’image NFT associée à l’œuvre, également générée par intelligence artificielle, qui représente la métamorphose de la pierre en léopard.

Ce dispositif à deux composantes, l’une matérielle et l’autre numérique, interroge les notions de complétude et de fragmentation, tout en explorant les nouvelles formes de propriété et d’authenticité introduites par la technologie blockchain.

L’œuvre s’inscrit dans les recherches de Chatonsky sur les capacités des intelligences artificielles à percevoir des formes que l’œil humain ne distinguerait pas naturellement, proposant ainsi une réflexion sur les limites de notre perception et sur les imaginaires non-humains générés par les algorithmes.

This hybrid work combines a large-format physical print with a unique NFT (non-fungible token). The primary image presents a mineral surface generated by artificial intelligence, where the algorithm has “hallucinated” emerging details—cities, living species, vegetation, and unknown technologies—from rock formations.

At the center of the composition is a missing zone, marked by a violet hue. This absence corresponds precisely to the associated NFT image, also AI-generated, which depicts the metamorphosis of stone into a leopard.

This two-component system, one material and the other digital, questions notions of completeness and fragmentation while exploring new forms of ownership and authenticity introduced by blockchain technology.

The work is part of Chatonsky’s research into the ability of artificial intelligence to perceive forms that the human eye would not naturally distinguish, offering a reflection on the limits of our perception and the non-human imaginaries generated by algorithms.
