Cette œuvre en ligne, conçue à la suite d’un voyage de l’artiste en Bosnie, propose une exploration labyrinthique de l’histoire du XXe siècle à travers le prisme de Sarajevo. La structure non-linéaire du site présente des milliers d’écrans impossibles à consulter dans leur intégralité lors d’une seule visite.

La narration se déploie de façon fragmentée, oscillant entre différentes époques à travers un dialogue continu entre un personnage masculin et un personnage féminin. Ce dispositif permet une réflexion approfondie sur le conflit yougoslave, au-delà de sa couverture médiatique immédiate.

L’œuvre se reconfigure à chaque consultation, générant une fiction perpétuellement renouvelée. Cette instabilité structurelle fait écho à la complexité des réalités historiques abordées et à la nature subjective de leur interprétation. Le projet s’inscrit dans les pratiques artistiques qui utilisent Internet comme espace narratif expérimental.

This online work, conceived following the artist’s trip to Bosnia, offers a labyrinthine exploration of 20th-century history through the prism of Sarajevo. The site’s non-linear structure presents thousands of screens that cannot be viewed in their entirety in a single visit.

The narrative unfolds in a fragmented manner, oscillating between different eras through a continuous dialogue between a male and female character. This device allows for an in-depth reflection on the Yugoslav conflict, beyond its immediate media coverage.

The work reconfigures itself with each viewing, generating a perpetually renewed fiction. This structural instability echoes the complexity of the historical realities addressed and the subjective nature of their interpretation. The project is part of artistic practices that use the Internet as an experimental narrative space.
