Grégory Chatonsky est un artiste franco-Canadien qui explore une zone trouble entre l’être humain et les technologies. Il aborde la mémoire, l’extinction et la résurrection et construit des fictions sans narration.
Il fonde Incident.net, une plate-forme de Netart, en 1994. Il explore la matérialité numérique comme ruines et flux dans les années 2000. À partir de 2009, il expérimente l’IA, organise entre 2017 et 2019 un séminaire à l’ENS sur l’impact de l’imagination artificielle sur l’art.
Il a exposé au Palais de Tokyo, au Centre Pompidou, au Jeu de Paume, au MOCA Taipei, au Museum of Moving Image, au Hubei Wuhan Museum et dans de nombreux autres lieux. Ses œuvres font partie de collections privées et publiques, notamment celles du CNAP, de la FAC, de la BNF, du Hubei Museum et du Musée Granet. Il a enseigné au Fresnoy, UQAM, Artec et Musashino Art University.

Grégory Chatonsky is a French-Canadian artist who explores the troubled zone between human beings and technologies. He deals with memory, extinction and resurrection, and constructs fictions without narration.
He founded Incident.net, a Netart platform, in 1994. In the 2000s, he explored digital materiality as ruins and flux. From 2009, he experimented with AI, organizing a seminar at ENS between 2017 and 2019 on the impact of artificial imagination on art.
He has exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo, Centre Pompidou, Jeu de Paume, MOCA Taipei, Museum of Moving Image, Hubei Wuhan Museum and many other venues. His works can be found in private and public collections, including those of the CNAP, FAC, BNF, Hubei Museum and Musée Granet. He has taught at Le Fresnoy, UQAM, Artec and Musashino Art University.
