On parle souvent de boite noire pour désigner les problèmes posés par l’IA. Elle semble être une intériorité opaque dans laquelle on ne peut pas pénétrer et dont l’explicabilité fait défaut la rendant plus autonome et dangereuse. Cet espace obscur semble s’opposer mot pour mot au cube blanc de la galerie. L’opacité et la clarté partagent l’aveuglement et l’indiscernabilité. Avec une IA on produit des représentations de ces deux phototopologies et on fait émerger un troisième espace interstitiel, une zone grise qui n’est plus un espace qui s’autonomise, mais qui est relationnel et anthropotechnologique.

We often speak of a black box to designate the problems posed by AI. It seems to be an opaque interiority that cannot be penetrated and whose explicability is lacking, making it more autonomous and dangerous. This dark space seems to be opposed word for word to the white cube of the gallery. Opacity and clarity share blindness and indiscernibility. With an AI we produce representations of these two phototopologies and bring out a third interstitial space, a grey area that is no longer an autonomous space, but relational and anthropotechnological.
