A 3D print of a hand with another hand subtracted and touching it. This missing hand is available in NFT. The contact between the two hands lies between the real and the digital. The missing hand in the sculpture also forms a grip for the viewer’s hand.
Erosion, so present at Alula, is the trace of a lack: the stone keeps the trace of water, climatic events and sand, like a moment at a standstill. Our reality lies between two realities: material and digital. They never match, they’re out of alignment, and yet, by keeping traces of their absence, they meet.
