L’autre surface libidinale (roche, technique, organique) – Avec Malabou – Opéra Bastille

Un dialogue entre la philosophe Catherine Malabou et l’artiste Grégory Chatonsky, au croisement d’un texte récent (Entre roche et cerveau : en quoi consiste exactement une « écologie de l’esprit » ?) et d’un film généré en IA diffusé le 25 mai au Grand Palais Immersif.

Si Malabou, interprétant Bateson, propose de considérer notre condition anthropocénique comme le double bind entre « notre » cerveau et le minéral, Chatonsky explore des organes génitaux aux genres indistincts qui semblent se mêler à des pierres et à des morceaux de machines brisées.

La relecture croisée de l’introduction d’Economie libidinale de Lyotard (1974) sera l’occasion de se demander quelle nouvelle surface libidinale s’ouvre dans les tensions de notre temps entre la roche, les techniques et l’organique.

A cross-reading of the introduction to Lyotard’s Economie libidinale (1974) will provide an opportunity to ask what new libidinal surface is opening up in the tensions of our time between rock, technology and the organic.
