Ghost in the studio

Ghost in the studio is an application connected to the network that broadcasts to all remote operations on my computer. It makes it available in another place (exhibition, urban space, collector’s apartment) surveillance of the computer activity of the artist, the software it uses, the research done on the Internet, the collection of images, artworks on which he works, the texts he writes, the softwares, etc.. The screen is a sensitive surface, traces of a complex interweaving of work and leisure, digital and analogue, thoughts and body. The computer that everyone uses, artist or not, amateur or professional, redefines the notion of studio, the very division between the private and the public. What happens to the artist’s studio? Making available the background work as to the existence, Ghost in the studio disrupts the boundaries between private and public, between the archive and the act by exhibiting the computer and image-instruments.
