Exploring Jax’s latent space, Gregory Chatonsky discovered a place where strange rooms with purple colors appeared. The atmosphere was intimate and comfortable, the pillows voluminous and the sheets of satin. He tried, by changing some parameters, to deepen his exploration, to go from room to room to reconstitute apartments. From the sheets slowly emerged fragments of technical objects whose use remained unknown. Resembling techniques, these objects were not however the reproduction of existing objects. Then the objects were transformed into bodies seeming to mimic human forms without managing to reproduce them exactly, like a distant memory of our species.

The artist proposes here a book in 3 chapters resuming his navigation in the latent space which opens possibilities of unfinished fictions and still to come.

En explorant l’espace latent de Jax, Grégory Chatonsky a découvert un lieu où sont apparues d’étranges chambres aux couleurs pourpres. L’atmosphère y était intimiste et confortable, les oreillers volumineux et les draps de satin. Il a tenté, en modifiant certains paramètres, d’approfondir son exploration, d’aller de pièce en pièce pour reconstituer des appartements. Des draps ont émergé lentement des fragments d’objets techniques dont l’usage restait inconnu. Ressemblant à des techniques, ces objets n’étaient pas pourtant la reproduction d’objets existants. Puis les objets se sont transformés en corps semblant mimer les formes humaines sans parvenir à les reproduire exactement, comme un souvenir lointain de notre espèce.
L’artiste propose ici un livre en 3 chapitres reprenant sa navigation dans l’espace latent qui ouvre des possibilités de fictions inachevées et encore à venir.
