There are strange rock formations in the desert, the result of long erosion, a halt that can be seen in motion. The top of the rock is wider than its base, and the stone seems liable to topple at any moment, as if the windblown sand had an ineluctable slope towards its destruction.
Thanks to a network of neurons, we produce an infinite number of variations around this shape, which we print in clay dyed with AlUla minerals. The half-timbering and viscosity of the material suggest another collapse, not the result of erosion, but of the superimposition of layers of clay, i.e. of construction.
Earth is a plasticity on the verge of destruction, inventing a new relationship between the processes of natural formation (in particular the erosion that sculpts the planet) and technical processes.

Il y a dans le désert d’étranges formations rocheuses qui sont le fruit d’une longue érosion, d’un arrêt qu’on perçoit en mouvement. Le sommet du rocher y est plus large que sa base et la pierre semble pouvoir s’écrouler à tout instant comme si le sable travaillé par le vent avait une pente inéluctable vers sa destruction.
On produit, grâce à un réseau de neurones, une infinité de variations autour de cette forme qu’on imprime en argile teint avec des minéraux d’AlUla. Le colombage et la viscosité de la matière suggère un autre écroulement qui ne serait pas le fruit de l’érosion mais de la superposition des couches d’argile,c’est-à-dire d’une construction.
La terre est une plasticité à la limite de la destruction qui invente un autre rapport entre les processus de formations naturelles (en particulier l’érosion qui sculpte la planète) et les processus techniques.
